CHILDREN ETERNAL RAINFOREST
TOUR OVERVIEW
The Children’s Eternal Rainforest is the largest private reserve in Costa Rica, with an area of 22,500 hectares of protected tropical forest in the
Cordillera de Tilaran, northwestern region of Costa Rica. Here we will find trails through the jungle to walk and discover all the wonders it has.
After a 30-minute trip in a four-wheel truck on mountain roads, we will arrive at the Pocosol station, a scientific center created for the investigation of flora and fauna and located next to a lagoon of volcanic origin. 800 meters above sea level, where we will enjoy seasonal fruits and prepare ourselves to start the adventure.
The purpose of visiting the area is to walk through 4-hour trails (10km), admiring the primary forest, the volcanic soil with its fumaroles, the Pocosol waterfall with a height of more than 80 meters, the observation platform that allows us to See its fall in a canyon river, as well as the incredible flora and fauna including a wide variety of animals, such as wild boar, coatis, agoutis, howler monkeys and many types of birds.
Finishing our adventure with a delicious typical lunch at the reserve station.

What to bring: Hiking shoes or tennis shoes, comfortable clothing, raincoat or poncho, insect repellent, and money for snacks, tips, or souvenirs.
